Now more than ever before, private and perpetual support ensures that land-grant universities continue to be places where transformational learning, groundbreaking research, and public outreach flourish. The University of Illinois Agricultural Education Program understands that in order to fulfill its mission to prepare the next generation of educators and change leaders, scholarships are needed to attract and retain outstanding students.
A With Illinois College of ACES campaign priority, privately supported undergraduate scholarships for agricultural education removes one key barrier of accessibility for some students.
The Agricultural Education Program is challenging alumni to contribute to the scholarship fund. The decade of alumni that has the highest percentage participation in giving to support the agricultural education scholarship fund will earn bragging rights as the best decade of agricultural education alumni. The challenge is open for those who choose to accept for one year, June 2018 until June 2019. Join your peers in rising to the challenge by investing in emerging leaders in Agriculture Leadership and Science Education today!
The goal is to see which decade can garner the most participants (percentage of total graduates) towards the cause. You are encouraged to make a gift of any size to Ag Ed scholarships and encourage your peers and colleagues to join you.
