Agricultural Leadership Education Concentration
The Agricultural Leadership Education Concentration prepares students for educational leadership, training, and outreach positions in agriculture, extension, and community and governmental agencies. Course work in this concentration focuses on designing educational/training programs, making professional presentations, leadership development, teaching/training methods, and interpersonal communications. A four-week business/agency summer internship is required. The curriculum provides the flexibility for students to specialize in a chosen area of agriculture. - Agricultural Leadership & Business Trainer
- Develops programs, curriculum and activities related to agriculture for youth, young adults and graduates. This can also be done at the business level with emphasis on the organization or company.
- Agricultural Sales and Marketing Representative
- Agricultural sales representatives market agricultural supplies to dealers of these products.
- Cooperative Extension Educator
- Provides information and guidance to the general population on community, youth, and human development; agricultural, environmental, economic, and rural concerns; and societal issues affecting daily lives.
- Agricultural Youth Educator
- Coordinates activities and programs for assisting youth in urban and rural areas developing leadership skills.
- Farm Bureau Manager
- The manager serves as the director of communications and county legislative issues, coordinator of Agriculture in the Classroom and all organizational promotions. The manager works as a liaison for farmers to better the quality of life for agriculture.
- Agricultural Literacy Coordinator
- Coordinators distribute knowledge about agriculture to teachers in all grade levels.
