Course Description
Theoretical and practical approaches to planning, delivering and evaluating programs in Agricultural Education. This course is designed to introduce students to the educational program planning process. The major goals of this course are to provide instruction related to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of effective educational programs. The expected outcomes of this course will be that students will be able to develop comprehensive plans for delivering and evaluating effective Agricultural Education instructional programs.
Upon completion of Ag Ed 510, students will be able to:
- To develop an overview of the nature and scope of educational programs in agriculture education.
- To be able to effectively plan and organize instructional programs in Agricultural Education.
- To begin formulating a personal philosophy of effective program planning in Agricultural Education.
- To become familiar with the body of knowledge related to effective programs of Agricultural Education.
- To identify the resources needed and the procedures to follow in developing a course of study.
- To enhance teaching success and effectiveness through an examination of teaching approaches, strategies, and methods.
- To be able to evaluate the relative effectiveness of Agricultural Education programs.
