Leadership in Groups and Teams
Course Description
AGED 380 is leadership course which will give participants the opportunity to examine leadership in a group/team context, analyze case studies related to team leadership, and design an experiential which will allow for practical application of group/team work.
Upon completion of Ag Ed 380, students will be able to:
- Engage in self-assessment of personal qualities and contributions related to team leadership.
- Discuss the factors which influence group/team development and dynamics.
- Develop and analyze strategies for conflict resolution, goal-setting, decision-making, and problem solving within groups and teams.
- Design and evaluate an experiential group/team leadership experience.
- Analyze Lencioni's five dysfunction model and the case study posed in the text.
- Discuss factors related to group/team success (both in general and in specific contexts).
