Treavor knew early in life that he wanted to pursue a career in agriculture, but it was when he obtained leadership roles in the Illinois Junior Angus Association, FFA, and other organizations that he found his passion for his major in Agricultural Education. Growing up, Treavor has shown Angus cattle at the local, state, and national level. Outside of school, he spends most of his time in the barn working with his cattle and getting them ready for show.
Treavor was a transfer student from Lake Land College, where he was an ambassador for the college as well as the President of the Post-secondary Agricultural Students (PAS) organization. The highly involved FFA and Illinois Angus first Vice President says, “I want to succeed in anything I do; in college, there are many things that can be taught in Ag Education and we learn what it takes to lead and progress in the agriculture industry.”
