Molly Novotney is passionate about people and communications. She said that she has always had cared about people and about learning what drives decision making and motivation, which is why she chose to pursue a degree in Agricultural Leadership Education. Coupled with a minor in Public Relations to focus on writing and communication, Molly has found the perfect fit at the University of Illinois. "The teachers in programs across campus really care about your academic and professional success," Molly said. "These two things together really create a deep and thorough education experience."
Both her courses and her involvement at the University of Illinois have contributed to preparing Molly for the future. "Working with other students from across the state, the country, the globe; access to technologies, an outstanding alumni network, and hundreds of RSOs; all of these things have made me feel more than prepared for a career in today's world," she explained. Molly is an active member of 4-H House Cooperative Sorority, where leads as the Panhellenic Council Representative. She is also a staff writer for The Black Sheep UIUC, a member of Illinois Sports Business Conference, a member of Ag Ed Club, and a member of Collegiate Farm Bureau. Her advice for students is: "Find a place that has the best fit for you – whether that be your anticipated major program, size, access to different opportunities, etc. Make sure you know you love the campus!"
