Malory Hughes

Class of 2015
From Philo, IL
Interned at NAILE - Ag Communications
Student taught at Tri-Point High School
Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor, Gibson City - Melvin - Sibley High School, Gibson, Illinois

Agriculture has always played a major role in Malory’s life as she was raised on a traditional farm raising corn, soybeans, beef cattle and show pigs. With all of her siblings having strong ties to the agriculture industry, she found teaching agriculture to be the perfect fit for her.

Ms. Hughes ultimately decided on Agricultural Education because of the great experience she had with her Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor, Rich McCabe. As the agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Gibson City - Melvin - Sibley High School, she is eager to teach others about the agriculture industry and the role that it plays in everyone’s life.

When giving advice to prospective students, Ms. Hughes encourages them to pick a career they have a passion for, in addition to doing “what will make you happy". She continues by saying, "Don’t sell yourself short!”
