Logan Honegger

Class of 2017
From Forrest, Illinois
Interned at Livingston County Farm Bureau

Growing up on a show pig operation, agriculture has always been a passion for Logan. She chose to major in Agricultural Education because “it enhances your leadership and communication skills.” It is with these skills that Logan wants to be an advocate for agriculture and teach people where their food comes from. “I am very passionate about agriculture and I want the public to know why and how we do the practices that we do.” One important part of the Agricultural Leadership Education program is the required 400 hour internship experience. “The internship program allows students to get real on-the-job experience and get of taste of different agriculture careers that are out there.”

Logan is a member of the 4-H House Cooperative Sorority, Ag Ed Club, and is one of the Pig Show Coordinators in the Hoof and Horn Club. Her advice for students is to “get involved, but also stay on top of all your coursework and be organized.”
