Interned at Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation
Jordan Johns chose to major in Agricultural Education in order to combine her desire to work with youth with her interest in science. After enjoying her agricultural education classes in high school, Jordan said, "I feel as though teaching agriculture provides a multitude of opportunities, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to major in agricultural education!" Just as her ag teachers served as great mentors to her, Jordan looks forward to working with students and helping them develop useful skills for all areas of life.
Jordan’s favorite part of her college experience is the overall environment at the U of I. “Campus is beautiful, and the instructors are phenomenal,” she said. “I find it really neat that the people you come in contact with through the Agricultural Education department, or through the College of ACES in general, will be the people you have connections with for the rest of your life.” Jordan’s advice for students is: “Explore your interests and follow your heart!”
