Growing up on a third generation family farm, Gracia has always had a passion for agriculture. She began showing cattle at a young age, which sparked her involvement in 4-H and FFA. Her passion and involvement led her to Lake Land College where she was a Student Ambassador and a member of the Livestock Judging Team.
Gracia’s transition from Lake Land College to the University of Illinois was seamless, and her favorite part is the Agricultural Leadership program. She loves that it provides versatility and equips students with the soft skills needed to excel in the workplace. “I truly value the quality of education I am receiving and the commanding presence a degree from the University of Illinois represents,” says Gracia.
Outside of the Agricultural Leadership Education program, Gracia is a member of the Hoof and Horn Club, Ag Ed Club, and the Livestock Judging Team. Gracia’s advice to students is, “Do what you love, and the money will follow.”
