Interned at Field Sales Intern with Bayer Crop Sciences
Chandler Bruns grew up on a grain farm in the small town of Gifford, Illinois, just outside of Champaign-Urbana. She is actively involved in the Agricultural Education Club and the Sigma Alpha Sorority. Last summer, she completed a sales internship with Bayer Crop Sciences. During her internship with Bayer, a few of her responsibilities included generating sales documents, sustaining customer relationships and developing her internship project. “Building relationships and putting my best foot forward are important aspects that I try to accomplish daily. My internship provided an opportunity to practice these skills.” Currently, Chandler is employed as a marketing intern for Agrible, an agriculture technology company. One of her favorite job responsibilities is attending trade shows to educate others about the company.
Chandler chose to major in Agricultural Leadership Education because of the broad range of knowledge that is studied in Agricultural Education. Some of her most meaningful experiences thus far in the College of ACES are the connections made with other young professionals. "The friends and faculty I have met have made a lasting impact on my future."
Chandler's advice for students trying to decide which university to attend is to "explore all your options, tour colleges and meet advisors. Take your time and find your perfect niche!"
