Catherine Riley is the Kentucky Fair Board Manager for the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE). She resides in Louisville, Kentucky. Her responsibilities include coordinating and facilitiating one of the largest and most prestigious international livestock expositions.
Catherine chose the Agricultural Leadership Education - Extension Leadership concentration for her graduate degree because she wanted to work in youth livestock and equine development. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in Equine Business Management and completed her Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois in May 2016.
Throughout her FFA and 4-H career, she raised and showed wether lambs and goats, and she is a certified American Boer Goat Judge. She enjoys judging shows across the country in her time outside of academics. She said her favorite part of studying Agricultural Education at the College of ACES was the close knit atmosphere and great resources through the faculty.
Her advice to students? “The ‘real’ world will come soon enough, so don’t try and rush it.”
