Bethany Ash

Class of 2017
From Mansfield, Illinois

Bethany Ash chose to major in Agricultural Education because she loves agriculture and she hopes her passion will guide her to change people’s negative opinions on the agriculture industry. Bethany’s family owns grain elevators, so she was involved in agriculture long before she began her studies at the University of Illinois. Her favorite part of studying Agricultural Education at the U of I is the people she gets to meet. “I have so much respect for all the teachers and their knowledge and that they have to teach me,” she said. Bethany’s advice for students is: “Do homework right when it’s assigned so you can plan for the urgent things that arise. It will keep anyone sane.”
