Adam Rosentreter

Class of 2019
From Chesterfield, Illinois
Interned at Tax Surveyor for Western Mound Township and Mechanic at PJ’s Tire and Service Center

Adam knew early in life that he wanted to pursue a career in agriculture, but it wasn’t until he started taking agriculture classes in high school that he discovered he wanted to teach. As the former Section 15 FFA President, he was very active in FFA and agriculture classes. He says, “Throughout my years in the FFA, my advisors inspired me to lead others. They have made me into who I am today". He continues by saying, "The opportunities they gave me are the same opportunities I would like to give my students so they can reach success.”

Adam chose Agricultural Education at University of Illinois because of the amount of opportunities made available for students. “Thus far, my favorite part of studying Agricultural Education at this great university is the boundless opportunities available to not only get involved, but also to gain invaluable and life-changing experiences.”

Adam grew up on a rural mechanics farm where his family restored and repaired a variety of equipment and vehicles. He also has become very involved in beekeeping on the farm at home. His advice to students is, “Never be afraid to grasp the opportunities available to you; one just might be your catalyst to success.”
